Phone Operator Department Name:
Intake Essential functions and responsibilities: Schedule patient appointments for Evaluation & Management services Answer incoming telephone calls and screen them to ensure proper routing to the appropriate department or individual. Retrieve telephone messages and follow up with appropriate actions. Assist with appointment cancellation and reschedule. Assist with conducting post procedure calls. Ensure complete and accurate data entry during telephone patient registration process. Utilize EMR and Ring Central systems to ensure proper routing of telephone calls and notifications. Forward patient's concern and feedback to appropriate staff. Maintain appropriate documents, reports, and files in order to comply with all applicable laws and policies. Other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Knowledge and Skill:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products, Internet browsing and medical practice management software.
Physical demands:
Frequent alpha/ numeric keyboarding. Oral communication over the phone and in person. Ability to view computer monitor. Must be able to exercise patience and accuracy in the face of multiple interruptions.
