We are seeking a highly analytical and hands-on Internal Control Specialist/Manager as leader for building and operating modern assurance capabilities across internal audit, compliance, and internal controls. This role is intended for an internal auditor who wants to design how assurance works, not simply review what already exists. It requires judgment, curiosity, and influence, with success measured by stronger controls, better insight, and more resilient compliance outcomes. Serve as a trusted partner to Accounting, Compliance, Sales, IT, Supply Chain, and Operations. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain internal control frameworks and policies, and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Execute SOX walkthroughs, test control operating effectiveness, identify issues and work with control owners to develop remediation plans and retest controls as early as possible Leading risk-based audits, compliance assessments, and controls assurance activities. Building repeatable analytics and monitoring routines that strengthen compliance while reducing manual effort. Identify compliance and control gaps and apply corrective actions to better understand how processes actually operate and where controls succeed or fail. Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements based on areas of significant business risk related to key processes and systems. Build reusable analytics, templates, and approaches that scale. Promote a mindset of continuous compliance and continuous improvement. Prepare presentations of audit statuses, findings, and recommendations. Keep consistent communication with internal management and external auditors to stay aligned on control and deficiency statuses. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in SOX Control Testing and financial audits. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, accounting information systems or related field. Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks (e.g., COSO), and Sarbanes-Oxley financial controls and/or IT controls and leading business practices. CPA, CISA, CIA, CICA, CICS, CICP or other relevant designation is a plus. Experience on projects that involving improving internal controls and accounting processes. Proficiency in performing complex data analysis utilizing various sources of information. Experience with cloud computing, data analytics, fraud prevention/detection, or real estate is a plus. Exceptional communications skills both written and verbal that demonstrates the ability to speak the language of the business not just "audit speak." Demonstrated ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects/resources simultaneously. High standard of ethics and professionalism. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Proven ability to work both independently and in a team environment, shifting between the role of an individual contributor, team player and project manager. High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Familiar with Microsoft Business Central ERP system. Strong knowledge and experience of Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, Project, Visio.
