Farms 282 reviews Full-time This position would be through a Staffing Company with the opportunity to work temp to hire Job Overview Our company is seeking a professional and dependable Switchboard Operator to manage a high volume of incoming calls while providing excellent customer service. As the first point of contact for many callers and visitors, this role is essential to creating a positive impression of the organization. The Switchboard Operator will answer and direct calls promptly, assist guests upon arrival, and support basic receptionist and data entry tasks as needed. Key Responsibilities Answer and direct a high volume of incoming calls in a timely and courteous manner. Provide callers with accurate information or transfer to the appropriate department or staff member. Take and relay clear, complete messages when necessary. Greet visitors and check them in for scheduled appointments. Perform basic receptionist and front desk duties as assigned. Complete routine data entry. Remain calm and professional when handling urgent requests, complaints, or unexpected situations. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a switchboard, receptionist, administrative support, or customer service role preferred. Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills. Strong customer service orientation and professional phone etiquette. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized. Basic computer and data entry skills. Ability to remain calm, courteous, and solution-focused in a variety of situations.
