Job Details Click to go Back to Job Listings Apr 20, 2026, 8:46:44 AM HST Title of Position PBX Operator Work Hours Regular Full-Time (Req# 2026-103) The department operates twenty-four (24) hours for seven (7) days weekly. Scheduled start time varies according to the shift. Standard shifts are 8 hours in length. Subsidiary Kuakini Medical Center Description of Position Performs a variety of duties and assignments that ensure consistent, timely and accurate flow of communications throughout the company utilizing hardwired and wireless technologies. Routinely receives and transfers phone calls, initiates notifications over the pager system. Supports and facilitates emergency, safety and security protocols by monitoring various alarm panels and alert signals, relaying information or directions to internal security and other designated personnel, issuing Code alerts and announcements over the public address system. Maintains various logs of calls and activities and generates operational reports, as directed. Qualifications and Requirements High School diploma or equivalent is required. Experience with communication systems and procedures within a hospital, multi-line telephone console, wireless radio, pagers, fire and security alarms preferred; or any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position.
