Job Description

Overview Join our team as an Erosion Control Specialist and become a vital part of sustainable land management! In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining erosion control measures across various construction and environmental sites. Your expertise will help protect soil stability, prevent sediment runoff, and promote ecological health. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, apply technical skills, and contribute to environmentally responsible projects that make a real difference. Duties Install erosion control devices such as silt fences, sediment basins, erosion mats, and other protective measures according to project specifications. Conduct regular inspections of erosion control installations to ensure effectiveness and compliance with environmental regulations. Monitor site conditions during different weather events to identify potential erosion issues or failures in control measures. Maintain detailed records of site inspections, maintenance activities, and any corrective actions taken. Collaborate with project managers, environmental engineers, and construction crews to coordinate erosion control efforts seamlessly. Remove or upgrade erosion control structures once the site has stabilized and project requirements are fulfilled. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations to protect both personnel and the environment. Skills Strong knowledge of erosion control techniques, materials, and best practices. Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, site maps, and environmental regulations. Excellent observational skills for identifying potential erosion issues early. Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in varying weather conditions. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting findings clearly. Basic proficiency with tools such as shovels, stakes, measuring tapes, and safety equipment. Certification in erosion and sediment control (such as SWPPP or Erosion & Sediment Control Certification) is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain relevant certifications is a plus. Embark on a career that combines technical expertise with environmental stewardship! We are committed to fostering a safe, inclusive workplace where your skills grow alongside meaningful projects that protect our land and water resources.
