Job Description

Our care philosophy is guided by the following core principles: Dignity and Respect Information Sharing Participation Collaboration The Communications Operator is responsible for performing assigned duties in accordance with NRHN policies, procedures, and standards of care while supporting the organization s mission, values, and commitment to quality outcomes. Essential Responsibilities Performs a wide range of duties in support of hospital-wide telecommunications and serves as reception and information center for the hospital. Directs and coordinates all activities related to incoming, outgoing, and in-house telephone communications for the hospital. Operates the paging system. Acts as a communications liaison during hospital codes and emergencies. Qualifications Ability to read, write and understand English. Able to follow directions. Ability to work rotating shifts. Pleasant and courteous communication skills. Excellent customer service skills.
