Must be a multi-tasker with strong technological and communication skills. Must be able to prioritize tasks and pivot seamlessly. Duties and Responsibilities Protect the legal and financial welfare of the dealership. Support the efforts of the other employees in the department. Seek ways to exceed the expectations of employees and customers. Set an example by maintaining a positive attitude and being professional at all times. Use sound accounting practices and procedures to ensure accuracy and consistency. Safeguard all customer and staff information; verify identity before discussing details. Process, prepare and post car sales transactions. Reconcile accrued payroll sales schedule. Calculate commission sheets and disburse to sales staff. Reconcile new and used vehicle inventory schedules. Post commission adjustments. Participate in and support cross training within the Business Office operation so that absences and vacation times can be easily managed. Processes all Vehicle Sales Deals in DMS. Ensure accurate posting of transactions. Review every vehicle sales deal to ensure all deals have proper paperwork and documentation. Payoff all vehicles traded in. Follow up on all outstanding payoff titles over 30 days old. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Education
Basic working knowledge of automotive accounting with at least one year of successful office experience. Knowledge of sound accounting practices and procedures. Ability to maintain confidential, up-to-date and accurate records. Excellent communication skills and strong follow-through. Work Environment Employees must have the ability to work well with others in a team situation. Employees must walk up and down stairs to perform their duties. Ability to work near office staff. Employees will be required to use the computer to conduct accounting business.
