The ideal candidate will have prior dealership warranty experience and a strong understanding of manufacturer warranty policies and procedures. This position is responsible for preparing, processing, and reconciling warranty claims while ensuring accuracy and timely submission to the manufacturer. Responsibilities Process all warranty claims by the next business day following repair order (RO) close. Prepare, review, and submit warranty claims in accordance with Mitsubishi warranty policies and procedures. Resolve warranty claim corrections, rejections, and chargebacks promptly. Maintain a positive working relationship with Mitsubishi warranty representatives. Review all warranty repair orders for completeness, accuracy, and proper documentation. Verify repair orders against vehicle service history to prevent duplicate claims. Provide the Service Manager with weekly warranty claim status reports. Identify and report any discrepancies or fraudulent warranty activity. Conduct weekly warranty audits, review aging schedules, and process necessary adjustments or write-offs. Assist Service Advisors in closing open warranty repair orders. Support Service Advisors and Technicians with warranty-related questions. Review and manage warranty aging reports to ensure timely claim processing. Assist with manufacturer audits, special projects, and reporting as requested. Participate in manufacturer warranty training and stay current with Mitsubishi warranty procedures. Qualifications Automotive dealership warranty administration experience required. Mitsubishi dealership experience preferred; experience with other automotive manufacturers will also be considered. High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two years of experience in an automotive dealership. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to read and interpret technical information and warranty policies. General knowledge of automotive systems, parts, and repair procedures. Experience with DealerTrack is a plus.
