Administrative / Accounting Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Automotive Title Clerk to join our team. This role is responsible for processing vehicle titles, registrations, and related documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations. The ideal candidate is experienced in automotive administration, highly accurate, and capable of managing multiple deadlines. Key Responsibilities Process and submit vehicle title and registration paperwork to the appropriate state agencies Ensure accuracy and completeness of all documentation prior to submission Verify legal transfer of ownership and lien information Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state DMV laws, regulations, and procedures Track outstanding titles and follow up on delayed transactions Prepare payoff checks for trade-ins and manage lien releases Assist with audits and maintain organized filing systems for all title records Communicate with customers, lenders, and government agencies regarding title status Support dealership accounting and administrative teams as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience as a Title Clerk is required Strong knowledge of DMV processes and automotive title regulations Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and dealership management systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack) Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality Strong communication and problem-solving skills Preferred Skills Experience working in a dealership environment Familiarity with electronic titling systems (DLRDMV) Basic accounting knowledge Work Environment Accounting office setting Primarily seated work with frequent computer use Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays 401(k) retirement plan Opportunities for growth and advancement
