Automotive Title Clerk - Dealership Experience Required CarWise Gurnee | Gurnee, IL Full-Time | Competitive Pay (Based on Experience) CarWise Gurnee is actively hiring an experienced Automotive Title Clerk to manage vehicle title and registration processing in a fast-paced automotive dealership environment. This position is ideal for a dealership title clerk, DMV clerk, or auto title specialist with strong knowledge of Illinois Secretary of State and out-of-state title processing .
Automotive Title Clerk Responsibilities:
Process automotive titles, registrations, plates, transfers, and liens Submit and track paperwork with the Illinois Secretary of State (SOS) and out-of-state DMVs Verify title accuracy, odometer statements, VINs, lien releases, and payoff documentation Manage title work for retail, wholesale, and auction vehicles Resolve title issues, delays, and discrepancies efficiently Maintain organized and compliant deal jacket and title files Communicate with sales, finance, accounting, lenders, and customers Ensure compliance with state, federal, and dealership regulations
Automotive Title Clerk Qualifications:
Automotive dealership title clerk experience
REQUIRED
Strong knowledge of Illinois title and registration laws Experience handling out-of-state titles and liens preferred High attention to detail with strong data-entry skills Ability to manage high-volume title processing Familiarity with dealership DMS systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, etc.) Excellent organizational, follow-up, and communication skills Why Work at CarWise Gurnee?
