LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY, PAUL M. HEBERT LAW CENTER
seeks to hire an adjunct faculty member for the Title Examination course for the 2026-2027 Academic Year.
Course Description:
This experiential course provides a practical, skills-based introduction to title examination. Because the analytical issues involved in title examination are largely consistent across transaction types, including commercial, residential, and mineral, the course is designed to prepare students to conduct title examinations in a wide range of contexts. To provide a specific framework for applying these concepts, the course places particular emphasis on oil and gas titles in Louisiana. Students will learn how to read, analyze, and synthesize land and mineral records, identify title defects, and prepare professional title products used by attorneys and landmen.
Education requirement:
Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school. Applicants should have superior academic credentials.
