Accounting Clerk - Automotive Title Clerk and Billing Experience Confidential Harvey, LA Job Details Full-time $17 - $35 an hour 2 days ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Title processing Customer service Filing Research High school diploma or GED General ledger accounting Organizational skills Bookkeeping Dealership experience Full Job Description Overview Dealership is single point store front looking for an experienced, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and reliable Accounting Clerk to process car deals, verify costs for the accounting department including the costs of reconditioning and equipment add-ons, and handles the legal transfer of documents for the Department of Motor Vehicles. The Accounting Clerk is responsible for the processing of titles and registrations as well as processing car deals by verifying completeness of documentation and posting into the accounting system. Responsibilities Verify data, completes state forms, makes disbursement for taxes and fees, and submits to the state. Process NEW vehicles sold to the DMV and out of state titling. Posting deals into the accounting system accurately and efficiently. Reconciling monthly reserve statements, to include warranty cancellations, chargebacks, and refunds. Maintain follow-up on all incoming

maintaining a complete list of all the outstanding
MCO/TITLES
work and tracking missing MCO/titles. Send bills, contracts, warranties and service contracts to the appropriate agency. Maintain titles and MSO's for inventory. Maintain a file of sales, prices, payments, warranties, service contracts and other pertinent information related to the sale or transfer of a vehicle. Enter used vehicle purchases into inventory Maintain and reconcile schedules for tax, title and license payable, wholesales, and warranties. Contact banks and customers for missing titles. Adhere to consistent and reliable work schedule. Effectively perform duties and responsibilities in a safe manner. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum two (2) years' experience in title processing and billing required Strong research skills with the ability to navigate complex databases Excellent customer service skills with professional communication abilities Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple transactions simultaneously Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with legal documentation, vehicle registration processes, and office software applications is desirable
