- Full-time A busy and growing title company is seeking an experienced Title Abstractor/Title Examiner to join our team.
Qualifications Maryland title abstracting experience preferred. Experience reviewing title or abstracting in states other than Maryland is a plus. Ability to examine and interpret deeds, mortgages, deeds of trust, liens, judgments, easements, restrictions, plats, and maps to determine property ownership and title status. Strong understanding of title defects and the ability to identify and document potential title issues. Experience analyzing chains of title, researching defects, and preparing accurate title reports. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Experience with CaseAware, LPS, Tempo, and other title industry software preferred. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple assignments and prioritize workloads effectively. Ability to meet client deadlines while maintaining accuracy and quality standards. Responsibilities Conduct title searches and abstracting for Maryland properties. Review public records and title documents to verify ownership and identify encumbrances. Analyze chain of title and resolve or report title issues. Prepare clear, accurate, and timely title reports. Work closely with internal staff and clients to ensure timely completion of orders.
