Automotive Title Clerk / Biller Genesis Automotive Group is a family-owned and operated automotive organization based in St. Clair Shores, Michigan . We are seeking an experienced Automotive Title Clerk / Biller to join our dealership accounting and administrative team. This role works closely with the accounting, finance, and sales departments to ensure all vehicle deals are accurately processed and funded. Key ResponsibilitiesTitle & Registration Process title and registration documents for new and used vehicle sales Prepare and submit title applications and tax documents Complete all legal transfer paperwork with the Secretary of State and DMV agencies Process out-of-state title and registration transactions Maintain title records and track outstanding title work Verify title accuracy and completeness before submission Manage dealer tag renewals and licensing requirements Stay current on title regulations and compliance requirements Billing & Deal Processing Bill vehicle deals accurately and efficiently Audit vehicle deals for accuracy and completeness Post vehicle sales and purchases Prepare dealer trade paperwork and Certificates of Origin Enter new and used vehicle inventory Process lien payoffs and verify funding before title submission Prepare payoff checks for trade-ins and purchased vehicles File factory rebates and incentives and follow up for payment Maintain and reconcile accounting schedules Administrative & Compliance Duties Maintain police books and vehicle records Process vehicle warranties and extended service contracts Generate reports regarding title status and outstanding paperwork Assist with training team members on title and registration procedures Support dealership operations with additional administrative tasks as assigned Qualifications Automotive dealership title clerk, billing clerk, or dealership office experience Knowledge of vehicle titling, registration, and dealership paperwork Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general computer systems Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen Preferred Experience with CVR and electronic title processing systems Knowledge of Michigan Secretary of State title and registration procedures Self-motivated, positive attitude, and strong work ethic Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines Schedule Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM No weekends required.
