Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Title Searcher/Examiner to join our dynamic real estate team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive research to verify property ownership, liens, encumbrances, and other relevant title information. Your expertise will ensure accurate title processing, facilitating smooth property transactions and safeguarding our clients' interests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your research skills, contributing to efficient and reliable real estate services. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive title searches using various resources, including public records, GIS (Geographic Information Systems), and legal documents to verify property ownership and history. Examine titles for encumbrances, liens, easements, restrictions, or other issues that could affect property transfer or ownership rights. Collaborate with law offices, title companies, and clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify title discrepancies. Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings, highlighting potential risks or issues requiring further investigation or resolution. Assist in resolving title defects by coordinating with relevant parties and ensuring all issues are addressed prior to closing. Maintain accurate records of research activities, findings, and correspondence in compliance with company policies and legal standards. Stay current on updates in real estate law, local regulations, and GIS technology to enhance research accuracy and efficiency. Assist with closings and other office duties when needed. Working hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM Experience Knowledge of real estate law, title processing procedures, and legal terminology related to property ownership preferred. Demonstrated research skills utilizing public records, GIS systems, and other digital tools to trace property histories. Excellent customer service abilities with a professional approach when interacting with clients, attorneys, and colleagues. Ability to work independently with keen attention to detail while managing multiple files efficiently Pay scale may rise based on experience.
