Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Title Clerk to support automotive title and registration operations in Austin, Texas. This is a contract position suited for someone who understands Texas vehicle title processes and can manage a steady flow of documentation with accuracy and efficiency. The person in this role will collaborate with a small team to prepare, review, and submit records while helping keep files organized and compliant with state and county requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process vehicle registration and license plate documentation for customers in a timely manner.
- Review title packets for completeness and accuracy before submitting them to the appropriate county and state agencies.
- Complete and organize required government forms related to automotive title and registration activities.
- Maintain orderly digital and physical records by scanning, filing, and tracking supporting documents.
- Conduct title-related research to verify ownership details, resolve discrepancies, and support title clearing activities.
- Assist with preliminary title report review and follow-up actions needed to move transactions forward.
- Partner with team members to manage a high-volume workload while meeting deadlines and compliance standards. Requirements
- Previous experience handling automotive titles, with practical knowledge of Texas title procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify errors or missing information in documentation.
- Comfortable working efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Experience with title searches, title clearing, or title examination is preferred.
- Proficiency in scanning, organizing, and maintaining document records with accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team while managing day-to-day responsibilities independently.
