Job Description

Job Title:
Nursing Home Admissions Director Job Summary:
The Nursing Home Admissions Director is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the resident admissions process. This includes marketing the facility to prospective residents and families, managing inquiries, conducting tours, coordinating pre-admission assessments, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining occupancy goals. The role involves collaboration with medical professionals, social workers, and internal teams to ensure smooth transitions for new residents.
Key Responsibilities:
Admissions Management:
Handle all inquiries related to admissions via phone, email, and in-person. Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and families. Coordinate pre-admission assessments and eligibility verification (insurance, Medicaid, Medicare). Assist families and residents in completing admission paperwork and understanding policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the admissions database or EMR system. All other duties as assigned.
Marketing and Outreach:
Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, physicians, social workers, and referral sources. Represent the facility at health fairs, community events, and networking functions. Create marketing materials and participate in outreach campaigns to promote the facility.
Resident Transition Support:
Coordinate with nursing, social services, and dietary departments for smooth resident admissions. Ensure rooms and services are prepared prior to resident arrival. Follow up with residents and families post-admission to ensure satisfaction.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding admissions. Generate and analyze reports on occupancy trends, referral sources, and conversion rates. Collaborate with the business office on insurance and financial documentation.
Qualifications:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field (preferred). Relevant experience also accepted. 1+ years of experience in long-term care admissions or healthcare marketing. Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations and reimbursement systems. Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and CRM tools

Pay:
$45,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
