  • Full-time A Skilled Nursing Facility is seeking a qualified and experienced Director of Admissions to join our leadership team.
This position is responsible for managing and overseeing the admissions process, ensuring efficient transitions for new residents, and fostering relationships with referral sources to support census growth.
Position Overview:
The Director of Admissions plays a key role in maintaining census targets by coordinating resident admissions, building external relationships, and ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations. The successful candidate will be highly organized, possess strong communication skills, and have demonstrated experience in long-term care admissions and marketing.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the entire admissions process, from inquiry to intake. Coordinate with internal departments (nursing, social services, business office, therapy) to ensure seamless resident transitions. Establish and maintain relationships with hospitals, discharge planners, physicians, and community organizations to generate referrals. Conduct facility tours for prospective residents and their families, providing detailed information and support. Review referrals and pre-admission documentation to determine clinical and financial eligibility. Maintain accurate and timely records of all inquiries, referrals, admissions, and discharges. Monitor census trends and develop strategic plans to support census growth. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state, federal, and facility regulations. Provide regular reports to the Administrator and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
