Adult Day Service - Voc/Hab Specialist

Responsibilities Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, and meal support, ensuring comfort and dignity. Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and address challenges effectively. Facilitate engaging activities tailored to each participant's interests and abilities, encouraging participation and skill development. Collect and document data on participant progress, behavior, and service outcomes accurately to support ongoing planning. Support communication using various methods, including American Sign Language if applicable, to enhance understanding and expression. Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining detailed medication records. Drive participants safely to community outings or appointments, ensuring adherence to safety guidelines at all times. Collaborate with team members, families, and community partners to develop individualized plans that promote social integration and personal growth. Requirements for Hire Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other disabilities in home or community care settings. Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with participants of all ages. Ability to assist with ADLs and provide direct support in a compassionate manner. Valid driver's license and clean driving record for transportation duties. High School Diploma or GED Ability to pass a

BCII/FBI

Background check Ability to pass Drug Screen and DOT Physical Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of special education principles and behavioral health strategies for supporting diverse needs.
