Full Job Description Experience:

Education:

High school or equivalent (Required) Work authorization: United States (Required) Full Job Description prepares the room/program at the beginning of the day, including picture schedules, data sheets, and other visual supports as needed. utilizes basic behavior principles including visual supports, behavior maps, visual schedules, social stories, and augmentative communication. provides assistance with toileting and personal hygiene with all consumers. implements 1:1, to 1:4 instruction of curriculum/activities given by the QDDP or Lead Direct Staff as well as executes behavior plans as directed by Director of Day Services, Case Manager, or Behavior Specialist. interacts with consumers appropriately and initiates leisure activities throughout the day. implements community based outings as planned throughout each day. supervises and maintains the safety of all consumers at all times including continuous supervision of assigned consumers. records and dates (day/month/year) all data including behavior data and data for activities as directed by the QDDP. performs tasks as directed by the QDDP and the Director of Day Service as necessary.

Knowledge, Abilities and Responsibilities Required:

The employee should demonstrate the philosophy and values of The Center for Lots of Lovw, adhering strictly to the principles of Applied Behavior analysis and Code of Ethics, while giving leadership and innovation in the field. Direct Support Staff should be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma, and experience with MR/DD population is preferred
