Job Description

Hegira Health, Inc. (HHI), a private non-profit corporation, is one of the largest freestanding behavioral healthcare agencies in the area. HHI, accredited by the Joint Commission and licensed by the State of Michigan, provides a broad array of mental health and substance abuse treatment and prevention services to individuals of all ages. The Outpatient Therapist Coordinator supervises mental health therapists who provide therapy to adults diagnosed with
SMI. REQUIREMENTS
A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university, specializing in psychology, social work, counseling, or other related human services field Current LARA license i.e., LMSW, LPC or LLP ( FULLY
LICENSED
) Four years of experience in the behavioral health field Two years providing direct treatment services in an adult-specific treatment setting One year of supervisory experience Experience with payor reimbursement methodologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
(summary): Clinical Supervision Review staff clinical performance. Conduct case conferencing to meet clinical and payor requirements. Ensure staff practice is maintained within the limits of licensee and established areas of competency. Program Planning Maintain up-to-date knowledge of treatment protocols appropriate to services supervised. Assign staff assignments based on based on skill assessment . Assign and notify staff of clinical goals. Monitor staff activity in relation to established annual goals and objectives, quality measures, and policy and procedure. Intake Complete assigned new intake comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessment. Formulate preliminary DSM-5 diagnosis. Identify issues that may exist regarding safety, natural supports, and community involvement. Identify referrals needed for comprehensive treatment,. Identify Supports Coordination and/or Targeted Case Management needs and complete referral . Obtain releases of information for coordination of care. Educate patient/guardian with respect to admission information, Medicaid Grievance procedures and Recipient Rights processes. Administration Communicate change in policy and procedure to staff. Maintain documents of services, logs, etc., per payor and agency guidelines. Participate in internal and external auditing . Provide direction to staff regarding training needs. Communicate recipient complaints to Clinical Services Supervisor Participate in DWIHN task force committees. Process Variance Reports. Enforce compliance with 42 CFR and HIPAA guidelines. Facilitate the completion of corrective action reports based on survey /audit findings. Personnel Interview, hire, and evaluate outpatient therapy staff, intake therapist, etc. Approve staff work and vacation schedules. Complete performance evaluations/contract compliance reviews. Facilitate assessment, development, and implementation of staff departmental development plans.
