Job Description
GENERAL Position Overview The Advanced Practice Practitioner er is responsible for practicing medicine with physician supervision including conducting examinations, writing prescriptions, medical decision-making and providing a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education Bachelor's or Master's degree successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program or Nurse Practitioner program. Experience Previous experience in a family clinic/urgent care and hospital preferred. Licensure/Certification Must be licensed by the State of Texas as a Physician Assistant or licensed by the Texas Board of Nursing as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner-Certified Nurse Practitioner. Current DEA number for Schedule II-IV Controlled Substances. Current BLS or ACLS required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of medical model and roles of physicians and physician assistants/Nurse Practitioner. Proficient computer skills; excellent interpersonal skills; able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.Personality / Interpersonal
