Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) Atlanta, GA About Us Lotus Health Infusion Centers are staffed by highly trained professionals who provide personalized and compassionate care to patients, both adults and pediatrics. We service those who are looking for a comfortable alternative to hospital settings, where you can expect quality and comfort. We provide therapy for all medical specialties, serving patients by providing injectable and infusible medications that are used to treat a wide range of health conditions. Position Summary The Advanced Practice Provider is a full-time member of the clinical operations team, responsible for delivering high-quality, direct patient care within our infusion centers across Georgia and beyond. Core responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, medical histories, physical exams, diagnoses, and treatments; developing nursing care plans; providing health education, referrals, case management, telehealth visits, and follow-up care for infusion services. This role functions both independently and collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure compliance with clinical, regulatory, and quality standards. The provider participates in quality and risk management initiatives, clinical meetings, and adheres to organizational policies and performance goals. Practices under a written or electronic agreement in alignment with Nature Health and Wellness/Lotus Healthcare standards for quality, service, and teamwork. What you'll do Independently assesses acute and non-acute clinical problems. Performs and documents physical assessments and patient histories, analyzes trends in patient conditions, and develops, documents and implements a patient management plan in response to the data obtained. This also includes assisting in the development of the nursing plan of care in addition to providing appropriate patient/ family/significant other counseling and education. Plans patient care based on in-depth knowledge of the specific patient population and/ or protocol, anticipating and identifying physiological and/or psychological problems commonly encountered including the consideration of the patient's cultural background, level of understanding, personality and support systems. Serves as patient advocate. Patient management includes the following
- Patient encounters in person or virtually.
- Orders and interprets appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies.
- Orders of appropriate medication and treatments.
- Refers patients for consultation when indicated i.e. dermatology, neurology, ophthalmology, endocrine, surgery, intensive care, infectious disease, hematology, psychiatry, social service, dietary, etc.
- Documentation through in-depth progress notes and summaries.
- Recognizes situations which require the immediate attention of a physician, and initiates life-saving procedures when necessary.
- Uses advanced communication skills to solve complex situations and to improve processes and service to patients. Other Responsibilities may include
- Supervises and serves as a resource for team members to analyze and evaluate therapies provided across the organization
- Collaborates to identify and implement new organizational practice patterns as appropriate.
- Participates in outside activities that enhance personal and professional growth and development.
- Prescribes medication to patients based on State of practice.
- Travel to remote locations (25% of the time).
- Support clinical infusion services acting as an 'infusion nurse' when critical to maintaining patient care.
- Other duties as assigned and modified at manager's discretion. What you'll bring

- High attention to detail in patient care and documentation
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to travel between locations within Lotus and to all the contracted Buy & Bill providers. What you'll need
- Current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Certification in the State of practice required.
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support required.
- Board certification (as required for states serviced by Lotus Health Infusion)
- Current DEA number from the DEA for schedule II-V controlled substances (may be required based on State of practice)
- Current credentials with most major insurance companies
Nursing:
2 years (Preferred)- Infusion experience (e.g., IVIG, Biologics, etc.): 1 year (Preferred)
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- Insurance Credentialing (Preferred)
