Position:
We are currently seeking a Part-Time Advocate to work with youth at the Camp Tillamook Youth Facility in Tillamook, Oregon. The position requires a minimum commitment of 25 hours per week in a structured facility setting. We are looking for individuals with experience working with youth, preferably in juvenile justice, mentoring, behavioral support, education, or social services. Candidates must demonstrate reliability, professionalism, strong communication skills, and the ability to complete accurate and timely documentation. Applicant must be dependable, committed, and able to serve as a positive role model for youth in the community, school, and home settings. The Primary responsibilities of the Advocate are to initiate, organize, plan, develop and implement direct advocacy services to assigned participants and their families. All service plans will be based on a strength-based approach using the wrap around model.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum High School Diploma or GED equivalent Experience working with At-Risk Youth and Youth involved in the juvenile justice system. Experience in community work and knowledge of community resources. Experience in Mentoring, Behavioral Supports, Education, and/or Social Services is a plus. Applicants should be comfortable using computer programs such as Microsoft Office. Knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus. Efficient written and verbal communication skills. Position requires reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance coverage Bilingual (Spanish Speaking) is a plus.
