Temporary work 3/28/26-1/21/27. Must have a regular driver's license. Must be able to lift 100lbs. Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Role involves a wide range of responsibilities that span both crop production and livestock management, requiring a combination of technical, mechanical, and animal care skills. Key duties include preparing fields for planting by using tractors and various farm implements such as plows, discs, and seed drills. The role also involves operating and maintaining machinery for planting, fertilizing, spraying, irrigating, and harvesting crops, including tractors, planters, sprayers, seed drills, and irrigation systems. In addition to fieldwork, responsibilities include installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems, particularly pivot systems, as well as monitoring crops and applying fertilizers and pesticides to control pests, fungi, weeds, and diseases. Loading and unloading crops, materials, and supplies using forklifts, conveyors, or transfer augers is also part of the role, as is performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery and irrigation equipment. Transporting supplies, tools, and harvested crops using trucks is also necessary. In terms of livestock management, the role requires caring for animals by feeding, watering, grooming, and monitoring their health. It includes handling breeding tasks, such as artificial insemination, assisting with births, and providing basic veterinary care, administering medications, and arranging for professional treatment when necessary. Maintaining hygienic conditions in livestock pens and enclosures is essential, as is moving animals between grazing areas or for medical treatments. The role also involves pest control for livestock, including applying insecticides and disinfectants. Transporting animals, managing their health, and ensuring they have adequate food and water supplies are key components. Additionally, general farm maintenance is a significant aspect of the job, including the operation and upkeep of various farming equipment like tractors, trucks, sprayers, and harvesters.
