Job Description

We need seasonal employees to assist with our crop production season of corn, soybeans, and hay, as well as our seasonal cattle needs. Cropland activities, including field preparation, planting, spraying, irrigation, and harvesting, take place from April through the end of the year, with February and March considered the off-season for crop production. Cattle are maintained primarily on pasture from May through October and graze crop stalks from October through December, requiring routine monitoring during that period. By January and February, the herd is sustained on established winter grazing and stored feed that has already been harvested and stockpiled, and no calving, processing, or intensive feedlot activities occur during these months. During this time, cattle care is limited to minimal oversight that can be handled by permanent staff, and therefore no additional seasonal labor is required. The employer's need for workers is directly tied to the peak crop production and active grazing seasons, demonstrating the temporary and seasonal nature of the position. The employer, at its sole discretion, may grant pay increases based on factors such as performance, longevity, and/or experience. Employer may also, at its sole discretion, offer performance-based incentive bonuses that are not guaranteed and are determined by the employer Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug-free workplace policy. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony or theft-related criminal background, as required by the workplace safety policy and company hiring practices, as allowed by law. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. The job requires a regular drivers license and three months of experience. Family housing not available.
