Leak Detection Technician

We are looking for detail-oriented and customer-focused individuals to join our team to perform leak detection services for residential, commercial and municipal customers. Our Leak Detection Technicians work outdoors, individually as well as in pairs, all while being away from the office for the majority of each work day. Time is spent locating leaks through survey of large water systems in Connecticut varying down to pinpointing a water leak on an individual service line. On-the-job training for the right individual that is interested in joining the industry is available. We have a team with advanced levels of experience in the field that are interested in mentoring. Any prior experience will be reflected in pay rate.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 7:00am-3:30pm Responsibilities Conduct leak detection surveys using acoustic, electronic, and visual tools to locate potential water leaks in residential, commercial, and municipal water systems. Read and interpret maps, blueprints, and utility layouts and mark out leak locations/underground utilities Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate detection equipment to ensure accurate results. Effectively communicate findings to clients, provide detailed reports, and collaborate to assess water system issues and potential leak locations. Qualifications 5+ years experience in underground utility locating, preferred High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a background check Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to create well-written and concise reports Physically capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions, lifting equipment, and maneuvering in confined spaces.
