Job Description

About the Role Horner Environmental Professionals is looking for a motivated Field Technician / Assistant Land Manager to join our growing team. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, learning new skills, and being part of meaningful and innovative environmental restoration and land management projects across Florida. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of field activities, equipment, and project types while working alongside experienced professionals who value teamwork, safety, and a positive work environment. Core Responsibilities Assist with large-scale land management and restoration projects Operate medium/heavy equipment (Dozer, tractor, loader, skid steer) Operate ATVs, boats, and other field equipment Support vegetative management, surveys, and aquatic projects Assist the Aquatics Manager with herbicide applications and field operations Ability to safely secure and tow a variety of loads and trailers Willingness to learn common native and non-native Florida plants and trees Additional Opportunities Participate in planting projects and habitat restoration work Assist with arborist-led tree removals and other specialized projects as needed Opportunities to expand responsibilities based on your interests and strengths Travel & Field Work Projects are primarily located on Florida's east coast (
