is a must Overview Join our dynamic team as a Climbing Arborist and become a vital part of enhancing and maintaining healthy, beautiful trees in our community. In this energetic role, you will utilize your climbing skills and horticultural knowledge to perform precise tree care, trimming, and pruning. Your expertise will help ensure safety, promote growth, and improve the overall landscape environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, develop specialized skills, and contribute to sustainable urban forestry initiatives. Duties Safely ascend trees using climbing gear and rigging techniques to access difficult or high branches. Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal with precision to promote healthy growth and safety. Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to reach elevated areas efficiently and securely. Use rigging equipment to carefully lower large branches or debris during pruning or removal projects. Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, and general site cleanup to support overall project goals. Apply knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) for mapping and documenting tree locations and health status. Assist with land management activities by supporting arboricultural projects, including growing experience in horticulture practices. Qualifications Proven experience in tree care, pruning, or landscaping with a focus on safety and precision. Strong climbing skills with the ability to use rigging equipment effectively. Familiarity with operating bucket trucks, lifts, and other aerial devices. Knowledge of horticulture principles related to tree health and growth management. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions. Basic understanding of GIS technology for mapping or data collection is a plus.
