Job Description:
As a Ground Crew Member at Cannon Tree Service, you will play a vital role in supporting our tree care operations. You will work alongside a team of professionals to ensure the safe and efficient completion of tree removal, pruning, and maintenance projects. This position requires physical stamina, technical skills, and a strong commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate chainsaws and other tree care equipment safely and effectively. Drive and operate vehicles with manual shift transmissions, including trucks with Class A or B CDL requirements. Assist in the operation of grapple loaders, bucket trucks, skid steers, Avants, and Tree Mek cranes (experience preferred but not required). Perform ground duties such as brush chipping, log handling, and cleanup. Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe work environment. Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Qualifications:
Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required. Proficiency in operating manual shift transmission vehicles. Experience with chainsaws and tree care equipment. Knowledge of grapple loaders, bucket trucks, skid steers, Avants, and Tree Mek cranes is a plus. Ability to climb trees is a plus. Strong work ethic, physical fitness, and ability to work in all weather conditions. Commitment to safety and teamwork.
