In this energetic position, you'll be responsible for performing tree trimming, pruning, and removal, utilizing specialized equipment such as bucket trucks and rigging tools. Your growing experience in horticulture and landscaping will help ensure the safety and aesthetic appeal of outdoor spaces while supporting community beautification projects. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in arboriculture and land management while making a tangible difference in your environment. Duties Operate bucket trucks, and rigging equipment safely to access and service trees at various heights Perform tree trimming, pruning, removal, and stump grinding to promote healthy growth and safety Use GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to assist with mapping and planning landscape projects Conduct lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general landscaping tasks to enhance outdoor spaces Assist with planting, transplanting, and cultivating trees and shrubs based on horticultural best practices Support team efforts in land clearing, site preparation, and erosion control activities Maintain equipment such as chainsaws, clippers, and safety gear to ensure operational readiness Skills Proven experience with tree care techniques including pruning, trimming, and removal methods Knowledge of rigging procedures for safe tree dismantling and limb removal Ability to operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts efficiently and safely Familiarity with GIS applications for land mapping and project planning Strong understanding of horticulture principles related to tree growth and landscape health Experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general gardening practices Growing knowledge of arboriculture standards, safety protocols, and environmental considerations This energetic role invites motivated individuals eager to expand their expertise in tree services while contributing to vibrant outdoor environments.
