Responsibilities Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal using bucket trucks, rigging techniques, and other specialized equipment to ensure safety and health of trees. Conduct landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, planting, mulching, and general landscaping to keep outdoor spaces vibrant and inviting. Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to map and assess tree health, growth patterns, and landscape layouts for effective planning. Operate bucket trucks safely for elevated work on trees or landscape features, adhering to all safety protocols. Apply horticultural knowledge to diagnose tree health issues and recommend appropriate care or treatment strategies. Assist with land clearing projects by managing debris removal and ensuring site safety during tree-related operations. Collaborate with team members on rigging setups for complex tree removals or pruning projects to ensure efficiency and safety. Requirements Proven growing experience in horticulture, landscaping, or tree care with a strong understanding of tree biology and maintenance practices. Hands-on experience operating bucket trucks, bucket operation techniques, and rigging equipment for elevated work. Knowledge of GIS applications for landscape mapping and assessment purposes. Familiarity with tree trimming standards, lawn care practices, and general landscape maintenance procedures. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including climbing, lifting, digging, and operating machinery safely. Strong commitment to safety protocols related to arboriculture operations and equipment use. Nice-to-have skills include experience in land surveying or land management systems; certifications in horticulture or arboriculture are a plus.
