Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Line Clearance Tree Trimmer and play a vital role in maintaining safe, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing utility corridors and right-of-ways. In this energetic position, you will be responsible for trimming, pruning, and removing trees and vegetation to ensure the reliable delivery of power and communication services. Your expertise will help prevent outages, improve safety, and promote healthy growth of trees and landscape features. Duties Safely operate bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and other equipment to access high branches and difficult-to-reach areas for trimming and removal. Perform tree trimming, pruning, and removal activities with precision to promote healthy growth and prevent interference with utility lines. Use rigging techniques to safely lower large branches or debris from elevated work areas. Conduct landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, shrub trimming, and general land clearing to support overall site appearance and safety. Assist with GIS (Geographic Information System) data collection by mapping tree locations and documenting work performed for accurate record-keeping. Follow all safety protocols related to tree care, equipment operation, and working at heights to ensure a secure work environment. Support land management efforts by growing experience in horticulture, tree care practices, and landscaping techniques that enhance the health of urban forests. Skills Demonstrated experience in tree care, tree trimming, or landscaping with a focus on growing skills in horticulture. Proficiency in rigging techniques for safe removal of branches or trees. Ability to operate bucket trucks, bucket lifts, and other aerial equipment safely and efficiently. Familiarity with GIS technology for mapping and documenting work sites is a plus. Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general land clearing practices. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to working at heights and operating heavy machinery. Growing experience or background in horticulture or arboriculture is highly desirable.
