Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tree Climber and play a vital role in maintaining healthy, beautiful, and safe urban and rural landscapes. This energetic position involves working at heights to prune, trim, and care for trees using specialized climbing techniques and equipment. You will be instrumental in ensuring trees are properly maintained, enhancing the safety of public spaces, and supporting overall landscape health. Responsibilities Safely ascend trees using climbing gear to perform pruning, trimming, and removal tasks with precision and care Operate bucket trucks and bucket lifts to access hard-to-reach areas efficiently and securely Rig trees or branches for safe removal or pruning, ensuring stability during cutting procedures Conduct landscape maintenance activities including lawn care, planting, and general horticultural tasks to support overall site health Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools for mapping and documenting tree locations and conditions Assist with landscaping projects that enhance aesthetic appeal and environmental sustainability Follow safety protocols rigorously during all climbing, trimming, and equipment operation activities to prevent accidents Skills Proven experience in tree care, pruning, or landscaping with growing expertise in horticulture principles Strong knowledge of rigging techniques for safe tree removal or branch management Ability to operate bucket trucks, lifts, and other specialized equipment safely and effectively Familiarity with GIS technology for mapping trees and landscape features Experience with lawn care, landscape maintenance, or general gardening practices is a plus Excellent understanding of safety procedures related to climbing and working at heights Good physical condition with the stamina required for outdoor work in varying weather conditions Embark on a career that combines physical activity with environmental stewardship!
