Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tree Service Worker, where you'll play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing urban and natural landscapes. This energetic position involves performing tree care, trimming, and landscaping tasks with precision and safety in mind. You will operate specialized equipment such as bucket trucks and bucket lifts, utilize rigging techniques, and support various landscape maintenance projects. Your growing experience in horticulture and tree care will contribute to creating healthy, beautiful environments for communities and clients alike. Duties Safely operate bucket trucks, lifts, and other equipment to access trees at various heights for pruning, trimming, or removal Perform tree care activities including pruning, shaping, planting, and health assessments to promote growth and safety Use rigging techniques to securely remove limbs or entire trees while minimizing impact on surrounding areas Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as lawn care, planting, mulching, and general site cleanup Support GIS (Geographic Information System) mapping efforts related to tree inventories or landscape planning projects Conduct routine inspections of trees and landscapes to identify hazards or health issues requiring attention Maintain equipment properly and follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure work environment Requirements Prior experience in tree care, landscaping, or horticulture is preferred; a strong willingness to learn is essential Knowledge of rigging techniques and operation of bucket trucks or lifts is highly desirable Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working outdoors in various weather conditions Familiarity with GIS tools or landscape management software is a plus but not mandatory Growing experience in arboriculture or horticulture demonstrates commitment to developing expertise in tree care Valid driver's license with clean driving record; certification for bucket truck operation is advantageous Strong attention to safety procedures combined with excellent teamwork skills Join us in transforming outdoor spaces into thriving ecosystems!
