Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Tree Trimmer, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the health, safety, and aesthetics of urban and suburban landscapes. This energetic position involves performing skilled tree care, trimming, and pruning to ensure trees grow safely and beautifully. You will utilize specialized equipment such as bucket trucks and rigging tools while adhering to safety standards. Your expertise will help enhance community environments, support landscape maintenance projects, and promote healthy growth of trees and plants. Responsibilities Safely operate bucket trucks, rigging gear, excavation equipment and other equipment to access and work on trees at various heights. Perform precise tree trimming, pruning, and removal to promote healthy growth and prevent hazards. Conduct land assessments to determine the best approach for tree care, landscaping, or land clearing projects. Apply horticultural knowledge to identify tree species, diagnose health issues, and recommend appropriate care strategies. Assist with lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general gardening tasks to support overall site aesthetics. Follow safety protocols rigorously while working with rigging systems and during bucket operation to prevent accidents or injuries. Experience Proven experience in tree care, trimming, or excavation with growing knowledge of horticulture principles. Hands-on experience operating bucket trucks, heavy equipment, or other elevated work platforms such as bucket lifts. Familiarity with rigging techniques used for safe tree removal or branch lowering. Knowledge of land assessment practices related to landscaping or land clearing projects. Prior involvement in tree work and excavation activities is a plus. Strong commitment to safety standards and environmental stewardship in all work practices.
