Utility Locator

Job Overview Independent Contractor Position (1099) We are currently looking for a reliable and motivated Utility Line Locator to become part of our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for locating and marking underground utility lines to support safe excavation and construction operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working outdoors in a variety of environments and weather conditions. Responsibilities Travel and drive within approximately a 150-mile radius depending on daily workload and job assignments. Maintain strong communication with clients and customers. Follow safe work practices and uphold professional integrity at all times. Be available to work 8-10 hour shifts, 5-6 days per week. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and in residential or commercial environments, including active business locations. Perform physically demanding tasks including walking, bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, and lifting. Sit, stand, or travel for extended periods throughout the day. Drive up to 40% or more of the workday as needed. Work in confined or restricted spaces when required. Comply with all client site rules, safety standards, and procedures. Use specialized locating equipment to accurately identify and mark underground utility lines. Coordinate with construction crews and field personnel to provide accurate utility information. Keep detailed and accurate records of locate activities and results. Support field operations while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations.
