Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Arborist Apprentice and embark on a rewarding journey in tree care and landscape maintenance! Duties Assist with tree care tasks including pruning, trimming, and planting to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal Learn to operate bucket trucks, lifts, and other equipment safely for elevated work on trees and landscapes Support rigging operations for safe removal or pruning of large or hazardous trees Participate in landscape maintenance activities such as lawn care, planting, mulching, and general site cleanup Follow safety protocols during all operations to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and team members Gain growing experience in horticulture by observing plant health management and soil care practices Requirements Enthusiasm for outdoor work and a keen interest in tree care, landscaping, or horticulture Basic knowledge of landscaping or lawn care is a plus; previous experience is not required but welcomed Willingness to learn rigging techniques, equipment operation (including bucket trucks), and safety procedures Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude towards safety and quality workmanship Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately Valid driver's license preferred; some roles may require the ability to obtain certifications related to bucket operation Able to pass hair follicial test as well as random drug screenings This apprenticeship provides a comprehensive introduction to arboriculture with opportunities for hands-on learning in tree care, landscape maintenance, and equipment handling.
