Job Description:

JCPRD is committed to maintaining the health and diversity of our natural resources through active and responsive stewardship. The Part-Time Natural Resource Technician assists the natural resource manager and resource technicians with invasive plant control, native seed collection, and general natural resource tasks as assigned. A working knowledge of local flora and fauna and experience with agricultural equipment preferred. Must be willing to apply herbicides within park natural areas.

Job Requirements:

Minimum age 18 years and older. Must have high school diploma or equivalent and an interest in natural resource management with preference given to individuals with advanced course work in the field. Must possess valid driver's license and have a good driving record verified through a background check. Ability to work outdoors and tolerate the climate and conditions of natural areas typical to NE Kansas. JCPRD requires reference/background screening for all positions. Specified criteria may vary by Department.
