82 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation. Permanent Full time position based at our principal depot at Charlton. About the position The Conservation and Natural Areas Officer is part of the Conservation & Pest Management Services team within the Parks and Recreation branch. The team oversees three dam estates, a range of rural and urban parks, and several escarpment parks across the region. These areas support a range of recreational activities and hold significant conservation value, requiring tailored fire and biosecurity management while upholding community expectations, safety, and wellbeing. The Conservation and Natural Areas Officer will develop strategic conservation plans, coordinate the delivery of specific programs and plans and develop partnerships that facilitate the management of natural areas across the region. This role builds effective and positive working relationships with key partners, including Aboriginal communities, park neighbours, lessees and representatives from conservation and volunteer groups. The Conservation and Natural Areas Officer undertakes ecological assessments and monitoring, provides high-level technical advice and supports landowners through managing the Land for Wildlife biodiversity conservation program This position will work under general supervision.
