We are seeking a skilled and experienced Irrigation Technician to join our commercial landscape company in Arizona. As an Irrigation Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the irrigation systems of our commercial properties. Your primary responsibility will be to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain irrigation systems to ensure the optimal health and appearance of our clients' landscapes. This position requires strong technical knowledge of irrigation systems, exceptional problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular inspections of irrigation systems to identify issues and ensure efficient water usage.
  • Install and program irrigation controllers, valves, and other system components.
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance on irrigation system components such as sprinkler heads, pipes, valves, and sensors.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex irrigation system problems, including electrical and hydraulic issues.
  • Adjust and calibrate irrigation system settings to meet the specific needs of different landscapes.
  • Monitor and evaluate irrigation schedules to maximize water efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with landscape designers and project managers to ensure proper irrigation system installation during new landscape projects.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including documenting repairs, upgrades, and system modifications.
  • Provide guidance and training to other team members regarding irrigation system operations and maintenance.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in irrigation technology.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Irrigation Technician or similar role, preferably in a landscape or commercial property management setting.
  • In-depth knowledge of irrigation system components, including controllers, valves, pipes, sprinkler heads, and sensors.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing complex irrigation system issues, including electrical and hydraulic problems.
  • Strong understanding of irrigation system programming and scheduling.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or vocational training in irrigation systems preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret irrigation system plans, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Familiarity with local regulations and best practices related to water conservation and irrigation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
