Camarillo, CA Job Details Full-time $26 - $28 an hour 20 hours ago Qualifications Spanish English High school diploma or GED Cleaning Agriculture Horticulture Full Job Description Glass House Farms is looking for an Assistant Grower who's passionate about plants, precision, and producing top-quality cannabis at scale. Working alongside our Head Grower in a state-of-the-art greenhouse, you'll have a direct hand in every stage of the crop cycle — from propagation to harvest — while helping lead and develop our cultivation team. If you know your way around a commercial greenhouse, geek out over climate systems and strain genetics, and want to be part of one of the most exciting industries in agriculture, we want to meet you. What You'll Do Grow great cannabis Execute the Grower's production plan, including crop preparation, tending, and cleanup Manage the growing environment — irrigation, temperature, climate, and pest & disease control — to keep plants thriving Troubleshoot greenhouse and irrigation issues as they arise Perform quality evaluations on greenhouse work Lead and develop the team Organize, direct, and coordinate the activities of team members engaged in propagating, cultivating, and harvesting Train new team members in cultivation techniques, including irrigation and pest control Communicate daily tasks clearly with the labor crew (in English and Spanish) Ensure safety policies and strict crop growing practices are followed at all times Track and improve Help establish and maintain crop data programs (weekly crop reports, climate reports, maturation reports, production data) Maintain strain and phenotype data to support smart cultivation decisions Coordinate planting activities with the Operations Department Keep learning Complete the Introduction to Horticulture and Introduction to Water training modules within your first 6 months Continue developing your skills through assigned Priva modules every 6 months What You Bring 2+ years of agriculture or equivalent commercial cultivation experience Advanced knowledge of cannabis, including genetics and strain types In-depth experience with large-scale commercial cultivation: crop rotation, nutrient requirements, grow mediums, lighting, and environmental control Competency with climate computer controls Familiarity with industry best practices — high-yield recipes, controlled stress environments, and modern lighting systems and setups Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred — you'll communicate with team members in both languages Self-starter mentality: able to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a team environment High School Diploma or GED Clean DMV record (some travel may be required) Work Environment & Physical Requirements This is a hands-on greenhouse role.
You should be comfortable with:
Working in high humidity, varying temperatures, and moist conditions typical of a greenhouse Lifting and moving 15-50 lbs occasionally Balancing, reaching, and grasping while on step stools or ladders Crouching, grasping, and lifting product above shoulder height using proper technique Being on your feet throughout the workday Wearing an N95 mask when required Schedule Full-time, 40-hour minimum work week Weekend and night availability required — plants don't take days off!
