Irrigation Technician

The Irrigation technician plays a vital role in the growth and maintenance of plants within our cultivation facility. This position involves hands-on work in various aspects of plant care, ensuring optimal conditions for growth and development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of horticultural and landscaping irrigation practices and demonstrate proficiency tools and equipment used in greenhouse maintenance. Responsibilities Perform daily irrigation tasks related to plant care, including watering, fertilizing, and pruning plants to promote healthy growth. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for planting, digging, and landscape maintenance. Assist in the irrigation process to ensure proper water distribution throughout the cultivation area. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cultivation space, including equipment storage areas. Monitor plant health and report any signs of disease or pest issues to management. Participate in landscape design projects as needed, contributing to the overall aesthetic of the facility. Collaborate with team members to implement best practices for cultivation, irrigation and maintenance. Skills Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for various cultivation and landscaping tasks. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise. Experience with lawn care techniques, including mowing, edging, and fertilization. Ability to build and dig effectively for planting and landscape projects. Familiarity with irrigation systems and techniques for efficient water use. Strong attention to detail in landscape maintenance and garden care practices. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a positive attitude. This role is essential for ensuring the success of our cultivation efforts, requiring a dedicated individual who is passionate about horticulture and plant care.
