Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced atmosphere and show a strong sense of urgency, additionally a strong desire to learn. Must have a positive attitude and work as a team player within the staff. Because Pebble Beach Company is an industry that is stays open seven days a week, you may be scheduled to work holidays and weekends.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Monitor, maintain proper and operate all property irrigation. Maintain resorts irrigation system free of leaks, and any other irrigation related issues. Repair leaks, heads, wiring, valves, controllers, and computer issues. Develop computer schedules for the necessary irrigation weather conditions. High level of organization and attention to detail. Working knowledge of computerized irrigation systems, pump house operations and electrical. components with the ability to troubleshoot problems and make repairs. Understand and practice safety in all work circumstances. Layout and install new or renovated irrigation systems. Pulls and fits piping for irrigation systems. Sets sprinkler heads and valve boxes. Tests irrigation systems for proper function. Purchases parts required to repair, create, or renovate irrigation systems while maintaining accurate inventory and strict cost controls. Adjusts irrigation schedules to maximize efficiency. Organize and clean area daily.

Required Skills:

Basic computer skills. Physical strength, stamina and agility. Previous Irrigation Technician experience or training. Ability to perform the duties of a Greenkeeper 2. A proficient working knowledge of and ability to use hand and power tools and equipment. Consistent ability to operate trucks and light motorized equipment under the supervision of a supervisor. Ability to follow oral and written directions with a consistent track record of successful reviews. Ability to work outdoors at all times. Valid California driver's license with 2 points or less.
