$24.21/HR Job Duties H-2A General Assurances (guarantees to workers) This is an application for Agricultural Equipment Maintenance. This application encompasses maintaining farm machinery and equipment. Employees will be servicing and repairing agricultural systems on helicopters that spray pesticides that eliminate insects and other organisms that could be harmful to cultivated crops such as but not limited to almonds, alfalfa, pistachios, and vegetables.General Conditions:
This position requires a minimum of 6 months of agricultural equipment maintenance experience.Job Duties:
Observe and listen to machinery operations to detect equipment malfunctions.- Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
- Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed according to the inspection regulations.
- Adjust, repair, and service farm machinery and notify supervisors when machinery malfunctions.
- Attach farm implements such as sprayers to aircraft using needed tools.
- Manipulate controls to set, activate, and adjust mechanisms on machinery.
- Inspect equipment or facilities to determine condition or maintenance needs.
- Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
- Self-starter with the ability to prioritize work.
- A safety-fi rst approach to all activities performed.
- A team-oriented approach to problem solving and prevention. Enjoy working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- Ability to solve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems.
- Maintain equipment used in agricultural production and field preparation in agriculture.
Job Duties:
- Lubricate all chains, bearings and tracks
- Clean out bearings, shafts and sprockets regularly
- Maintain a small set of hand tools including knives, airline nozzles, fi les, and sockets
- Assist head mechanic with repairs
- Execute lockout tag out policies
- Start and stop machine as needed/in sequence
- Clean floors, surfaces, windows and walls throughout the facility
- Adjust machine to manager specific cations
- Adjust pulleys to specific cation for proper belt use. Install new belts as required
- Maintain a professional work environment
- Remove and attach guards, chains, and other protective coverings/barriers for L&I compliance
- Assist in maintenance and replacement of any chains, belts, bearings, motors, shafts, gear boxes, sprockets, pulleys, key-stocks, frames, supports or other equipment/machinery
- Clean out any areas throughout the facility where debris accumulates
- Remove accumulated lupulin from facility surfaces and equipment
- Obey all FISMA, Global GAP and other regulatory agency policies always while on premises.
- Monitor and improve product/waste flow and efficiency throughout the facility
- Provide feedback to lead mechanics and managers about consistent or recurring problems throughout the facility
- Workers must follow safety instructions and supervisor guidance.
Workers may also:
Control operations of equipment or systems. Determine causes operating errors and decide what to do about it. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Housing The employer must provide free housing to all workers who are not reasonably able to return to their residences on the same day. Meals The employer must provide either three meals a day to each worker or furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities. If meals are provided, the employer may charge each worker a certain amount per day for the three meals. Transportation 1. After a worker has completed 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer must reimburse the worker for the cost of transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place or work, if such costs were borne by the worker. 2. The employer must provide free transportation between the employer's housing and the work site for any worker who is provided housing. 3. Upon completion of the work contract, the employer must pay the worker's subsistence and return transportation to the place of recruitment. 4. Special conditions apply when the worker will not be returning to the place of recruitment because of another job. Workers Compensation Insurance The employer must provide workers' compensation insurance where it is required by law. Tools and Supplies The employer must furnish at no cost to the worker all tools and supplies necessary to carry out the work unless it is common practice in the area and occupation for the worker to provide certain items. Three-fourth Guarantee The employer must guarantee to offer each worker employment for at least three-fourths of the workdays in the work contract period and any extensions. If the employer affords less employment, then the employer must pay the amount which the worker would have earned had the worker been employed the guaranteed number of days. Other Conditions 1. The employer must provide the worker with a complete statement of hours worked and related earnings on each payday. 2. The employer must pay the worker at least twice monthly or more frequently if it is in the prevailing practice to do so. 3. The employer must provide a copy of a work contract or the job order to each worker. 4. The employer shall comply with applicable federal, state, and local employment-related laws and regulations, including employment-related health and safety laws. 5. No U.S. worker will be rejected for or terminated from employment for other than a lawful-job-related reason and notification of all rejections or terminations shall be made to EDD. 6. Responsabilidades:

- Limpiar pisos, superficies, ventanas y paredes en toda la instalación.
- Ajustar la máquina según las especificaciones del gerente.
- Ajustar las poleas según las especificaciones para el uso correcto de la correa. Instalar correas nuevas según sea necesario
- Mantener un entorno de trabajo profesional
- Quitar y colocar protectores, cadenas y otras cubiertas/barreras protectoras para el cumplimiento de L&I
- Ayudar en el mantenimiento y reemplazo de cadenas, correas, cojinetes, motores, ejes, cajas de engranajes, ruedas dentadas, poleas, chaveteros, marcos, soportes u otros equipos/maquinaria
- Limpiar cualquier área en toda la instalación donde se acumulen residuos
- Quitar la lupulina acumulada de las superficies y equipos de la instalación
- Obedecer todas las políticas de FISMA, Global GAP y otras agencias reguladoras siempre que se encuentre en las instalaciones.
- Monitorear y mejorar el flujo de productos/residuos y la eficiencia en toda la instalación
