This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, installing, and maintaining irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance, water efficiency, and client satisfaction. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in the field. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems (sprinklers, valves, controllers, wiring, drip systems) Perform irrigation installations, system upgrades, and retrofits Conduct irrigation audits and recommend water-saving improvements Program and adjust controllers (including smart controllers) Identify and repair leaks, breaks, low pressure issues, and coverage problems Perform seasonal start-ups, shut-downs, and system checks Read and interpret irrigation plans and as-builts Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to management and clients Maintain accurate service records and reports Follow all safety procedures and company standards Work collaboratively with maintenance crews, foremen, and management Qualifications & Experienc Minimum 1 years of hands-on irrigation experience (commercial preferred) Strong knowledge of irrigation components, wiring, hydraulics, and controllers Experience with brands such as Rain Bird, Hunter, Toro, etc. Ability to troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic issues independently Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong time management and organizational skills Preferred (Not Required) Irrigation certification (CIT, QWEL, IA, or similar) Backflow testing experience or certification Bilingual (English/Spanish) Experience with water management or municipal compliance What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Overtime opportunities Company vehicle and tools (if applicable) Consistent, year-round work Supportive management and growth opportunities Professional, team-oriented work environment
