Cannabis Lab Technician Motley Terpz Canoga Park, CA Job Details Full-time $17 - $20 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Interpersonal skills Packing Manufacturing standard operating procedures Manufacturing facility Attention to detail Laboratory standard operating procedures Standard operating procedures (SOPs) Laboratory record keeping Kitchen experience Full Job Description About the Role We make solventless concentrates, edibles, pre-rolls, and packaged goods. The Lab Technician is hands-on — the person actually doing the work day to day. This is not a management role. We're looking for someone with sharp attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a genuinely positive attitude who takes pride in clean, consistent product. If you like working with your hands, hitting numbers, and being part of a tight crew, you'll fit here. What You'll Do Solventless Production Wash, collect, and press fresh frozen and dried material into bubble hash and rosin. Run wash vessels, freeze dryers, and rosin presses according to SOPs; monitor temps, times, and yields. Sift, grade, and properly store hash; track yields and log batch data accurately. Edibles Measure, mix, mold, and portion edibles and tablets per recipe and dosing specs. Follow exact measurements — dosing accuracy is non-negotiable. Keep all kitchen and prep areas spotless and food-safe. Pre-Rolls Grind, fill, weigh, twist/seal, and inspect pre-rolls for consistent weight and quality. Operate pre-roll machines and tubes; flag jams, off-weights, or defects. Packaging & Labeling Weigh, fill, seal, and label finished products to spec. Verify labels, weights, batch numbers, and compliance info are correct on every unit. Box, palletize, and stage product for distribution. General Lab Duties Keep stations, tools, and equipment clean, sanitized, and organized at all times. Log batches, inputs, outputs, and waste accurately for compliance and inventory. Follow all SOPs, safety rules, and state cannabis regulations. Help with inventory counts and restocking supplies. What We're Looking For Attention to detail with detail — you catch small mistakes before they become big ones. Strong with numbers and measurements — accurate weights, doses, and counts every single time. Clean and tidy by nature — spotless stations, clean hands, organized space. Reliable and consistent — show up on time, ready to work, every day. Positive attitude — you take ownership and don't need to be told twice. Willing to get your hands dirty — this is real, hands-on production work; some lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, and repetitive tasks. Honest and trustworthy — you do it right when no one is watching. Team player — you do better with a great crew than against it. Requirements Must be 21 or older. Able to pass any required background check and obtain applicable cannabis work credentials. Able to stand for full shifts and lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable following written SOPs and recording data accurately. Reliable transportation and availability for the full shift schedule. Nice to Have Prior lab, kitchen, manufacturing, or cannabis production experience. Familiarity with solventless extraction, freeze dryers, or rosin presses. Food handler's card. Why Work Here We're a tight, growing crew that cares about quality and doing things the right way. We train hard skills, but attitude and reliability are what get you promoted. Do good work, take pride in it, and there's room to grow.
