Job Description
Cannabis Vegetation Assistant Position Summary The Cannabis Vegetation Assistant is responsible for supporting daily operations within the vegetation department by maintaining plant health, cleanliness, organization, and compliance within all assigned cultivation areas. This position works closely with management and cultivation staff to ensure all vegetation processes are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with company procedures and state regulations.
Schedule & Compensation Full-Time Pay:
$17.00 per hour Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays as business needs require.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Plant Care & Cultivation Support Assist with daily care and maintenance of mother plants, teens, and clones. Mix and prepare nutrients according to cultivation schedules and company procedures. Feed double stacks and monitor plant health throughout all growth stages. Transplant plants as needed while minimizing plant stress and damage. Perform topping, lollipopping, de-leafing, and other plant maintenance techniques. Inspect plant roots and overall plant condition to identify potential concerns. Conduct routine scouting for pests, pathogens, viroids, and other plant health issues. Remove dead or damaged leaves to maintain plant health and cleanliness standards. Intake and organize incoming clones. Schedule testing for new clone intakes as directed by management. Inventory & Compliance Update and maintain accurate plant counts for mothers, teens, and clones. Ensure all plants are properly labeled and organized in compliance with state regulations and company procedures. Section off strains and batches appropriately using designated identifiers, including blue tape when required. Utilize Trym and other cultivation tracking systems accurately and consistently. Facility Maintenance & Sanitation Clean and maintain trays, nutrient tanks, tools, and assigned work areas. Calibrate and maintain pH and EC meters. Assist with moving lights, trays, scaffolding, ladders, and cultivation equipment as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the vegetation room and surrounding cultivation areas. Follow all sanitation, safety, and biosecurity protocols at all times. Additional Responsibilities Communicate operational needs, plant concerns, or supply shortages to management promptly. Complete additional assignments, tasks, and responsibilities as directed by management. Required Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to receive and apply constructive feedback professionally. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Basic understanding of cultivation practices and plant health preferred. Experience using cultivation tracking systems such as Trym is preferred but not required. Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work environment. Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age. Previous cultivation, agriculture, greenhouse, nursery, or cannabis industry experience preferred but not required. Must be able to comply with all company policies and state cannabis regulations. Physical Requirements Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, squat, and lift throughout scheduled shifts. Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 25 pounds regularly. Ability to safely use ladders, scaffolding, and cultivation equipment. Ability to work in cultivation environments with varying temperatures, humidity levels, and strong odors.Pay:
