Responsibilities Install, repair, and maintain irrigation systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators. Conduct routine inspections of irrigation components to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions, ensuring optimal water distribution. Assist with general landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, pruning, planting, and soil preparation to support healthy growth. Operate construction machinery safely during system installations or upgrades, adhering to all safety protocols. Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues with irrigation controllers, valves, pumps, and other system parts. Support landscaping projects by preparing sites, installing new features, and maintaining existing landscapes to high standards. Maintain detailed records of work performed, system layouts, repairs made, and parts used for ongoing system management. Qualifications Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience handling hand tools and power tools effectively. Basic understanding of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance practices. Experience in lawn care, horticulture or landscaping is highly desirable. Ability to operate construction equipment such as excavators safely and efficiently. Familiarity with land surveying or construction principles is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and accurately. Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to lift heavy equipment when necessary.
