In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining sprinkler systems to ensure optimal irrigation performance across various properties. Your expertise will help promote healthy lawns, vibrant landscapes, and efficient water usage. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, apply your technical skills, and contribute to beautiful, sustainable environments. Responsibilities Install new sprinkler systems according to project specifications and safety standards Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of existing irrigation systems to prevent malfunctions Diagnose and repair issues with sprinkler heads, valves, controllers, and piping using hand tools and power tools Adjust sprinkler zones for optimal coverage and water efficiency based on landscape requirements Operate excavation equipment such as mini excavators when necessary for system installation or repairs Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation systems seamlessly into overall landscape design Keep detailed records of work performed, parts used, and system adjustments for future reference Requirements Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in irrigation systems or related fields such as horticulture or landscaping Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment including excavators Knowledge of lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general landscaping practices Ability to read technical diagrams, blueprints, and system schematics accurately Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions while standing, bending, or lifting heavy equipment Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude Preferred qualifications include experience with horticulture practices, familiarity with land surveying or construction processes related to landscape projects, and certifications in irrigation or landscape maintenance. Having a background in land management or environmental sciences is a plus.
